Boat rides at Fenghuang?

Are there any boat rides available along the river to enjoy this small town? Where do we go and what is offered and for how long? Also, we are staying at the LongGe Inn and we asked for a river view room. Is this a nice hotel and is there anything nice to see opposite our room? Also, do we still need to pay the entry fee to that town if we are only going to explore the old alleyways and HongQiao Bridge?

Yes, the boat ride is available and both the upstream and the downstream have places to board the boat. I heard the boat at downstream is operated by private owner and it takes about 10 to 20 minutes .The boat travel at the upstream takes about 30 minutes.
For entering the town, the entrance fee is needed although you just want to explore the old town and the bridge.
For our hotel, the scenery outside the room is pretty nice, but the room itself is just so so.
