YUNAN TRAVELING AND TAKING PHOTOS

It is suggested to go to Stone Forest and the Dongchuan Red Land.
To reach Shilin, you can go to KM East Bus Station to take buses to reach there directly and you can spend one day there. Then you can go back to KM. From local North Bus Station, you can find buses to reach Dongchuan and you can spend about two days there. For taking picutres, it is suggeted to hire a local car to travel around. The fare is around 150 to 200RMB per day.
To reach Yuanmou, it is suggested to start from KM. From KM Northwest Bus Station, you can find direct buses to reach Yuanmou and reach there in about 3 to 4 hours. You can spend there for about 2 to 3 days.
Then you can travel to Lijiang and Shangri-la are and spend the rest of the days in that area. From KM West Bus Station, you can find direct buses to reach Lijiang and from Lijiang, you can hire a car to take reach travel in that area and then go Shangri-la area.

Thank You for your precious suggestion and do you have any hotel in Kunming that you can recommend for our stay . It need not be a five star hotel but clean and convenience location which we can move around.
Another request please advise where can we hire a car and a patient and safe driver to drive us around.

For hotel, I think Jinjiang Inn at No.127, Xichang Road, Xishan District is suggested. The transportation there is very convenient.
I seldom use the renting car to travel, so it may be hard for you to help you on the car problem.

Thank You fo all the information and suggestion. My trip to Yunnan in October is confirmed. Have a few more question to trouble you before I can plan and prepare for my trip.
May I know it take how many hour from Kunming to Lijiang and do you have any hotel recommendation in Lijiang with convenient location.
May I know it take another how many hour from Kunming to Yuanmou and any hotel recommendation in Yuanmou.
Please advise how to go to Jinjiang Inn from Kunming Airport.
Lastly understand you are from Germany hopefully I and my wife can thank you personally when we visit my son every year who live in Germany ( Berlin).

From KM to LJ, the train takes about 9 to 10 hours. The bus journey takes about 7 to 8 hours. In LJ, the Sunshine LJ Inn is suggested.

The bus takes about 5 to 6 hours from KM to Yuanmou. The Yuanmou Hotel is very nice and is suggested.
Please advise how to go to Jinjiang Inn from Kunming Airport.
