Can I extend the entry period for my 14 day single entry L type visa?

I have an L type that says I can only enter before the 5th of October 2013. However my plans have changed and I don't think I'll be in China until November. Is it possible to extend the time for the period of entry? Maybe another month or two?

I am afraid that you can't. You can apply for a new one after your new plan is made.
