Hello, Sameer, it is hard to tell you the living cost in China in general, because different places have different living condition.
As far as I know, in Beijng, Shanghai and Guangzhou, it may need about 2000 to 3000RMB per month including renting an apartment.
In northwest part of China, the fee is around 1500 to 2000RMB.28
