nepalese citizen traveling with two kids who are both US citizens

Hi, I am a nepalese citizen but a US resident (green card holder) traveling with two kids who are both US citizens. On the return flight from Kathmandu to New York I have a 17 hour layover in kunming and a 22 hour layover in shanghai. Do I need to apply for visa?
