About:Embassy & Consulates of Canada in China

Do Chinese citizens need to show 50000yuan before they can board a flight to Canada ?

Myself & a lady from China are in love & we want her to come here & see what life is like here. The problem is we bought her a plane ticket for july 3 & got her a visa but yesterday she was told she needs to show she has 50000 yuan before she can board the plane ? Thats not what the Canadian embassy has told me ? Ive contacted people in China & was told by them that ,that was a strange request ? She was told by the Guanzhou immigration district she needs to show this money. SO what is the truth & can they stop her from boarding the plane even though she has all her documentation ? Please help us cause we only have a few days before her 1700$ ticket & documents are useless! tyvm JR!

Hi, you have already got her a Canadian visa? because as I know, Chinese are required to provide a bank statement with certain amount of money when they apply for visa to most foreign countries. But if you have already got a visa for her, it should be ok for her to leave.
