Travelling through Bullet Train with a Passport Copy

Hi.. I have applied for my visa extension and hence passport is deposited with the Beijing PSB. So can I book a ticket and travel with the copy of the Passport and visa and the acknowledgment receipt given by the Beijing PSB..

As i know, if you buy the ticket at the railway station, you need to take your passport. But if you book it online, the passport copy is ok. You could book the ticket on this site, it requires only the copy of your passport.

I am in the same situation. So travelling with simply a copy of our passport/visa/explanation of why our passport is gone will be okay?

you also need to issue a temporary identification card at the railway station by show your passport copy and documents from Beijing PSB.

hi, my passport is with the agent in shanghai . tomorrow I am going to visa embassy for renewal. can I travel in bullet rail with passport copy? I appreciate for the reply. thank you.

Passport copy is not workable. Real passport is required for boarding.
