About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

I have an old Hong Kong Identity Card issued to me in 1962

Would like to get a new one under the SAR system. Can I put in the application form for a new one in your Chinese Embassy in San Francisco? Is there a fee?

Yes, you can submit your application to the consulate in SF if you reside in any state within its consular district. It will take 6-8 weeks to process your application, excluding the delivery time. As I know, it is free of charge, but you may need to pay for the postage and handling fee.
