About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My boss needs to travel for business purposes to Shanghai and Seoul. Does he need visa for Shanghai?

He will be flying from Amsterdam to Shanghai and then after 2 days (not more then 72hrs) of meeting heading for Seoul and also return flight is from Seoul. Is he eligible for the 72hrs free transit?
