Could anyone please explain the demographics? what is north xian, south xian or jsut xian?

It is hard to tell in exactly.
Generally speaking, the south refers to the Chang'an District.
The north refers to the Weiyang District and for the proper city refers to Lianhu District, Yanta District, Beilin District, Xincheng District and the local High Technology Zone.
