Hello, I am planning on traveling to Kaifeng, Henan for a little over two weeks in Nov. Is traveling to this city safe for American's at this time?

I have heard that China is going through a rough period just like we are here, I am more than likely going to be going regardless if its safe or not and just take my chances but I would like a little heads up ;-)
