About:China Visa Exemption

visit Hainan as an individual

Can I visit Haikou for 6 nights and not require a visa before I depart? I intend to travel alone and will remain in Haikou for the week on a NZ passport. I have read about groups of 5 people travelling with locally registered companies but I want to travel alone. Can I apply for a short term stay L on arrival?

I am afraid not. You need to apply for a tourist L in advance in NZ if you plan to travel alone.
