About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Can I get a Z visa if I'm pregnant?

I just found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I'm supposed to be going for my physical next week in China. Will they deny me the z because of the pregnancy?

Do you mean you will do physical check next week in China? did you get your work permit for Z application?

Yes - I have to get the physical exam for the Foreign Expert Certificate. I'm worried that if they discover I'm pregnant they won't grant it.

I have to say, it is not an obstacle for application of the Foreign Expert Certificate, but as I know, most employers do not prefer to hire pregnant woman.
