No direct bus or train exists between. You need to transfer in Changsha.1

thank you, is it better to go by bus or train? I can find the train schedule but no bus connections and timetable. What is faster and safer? I travel on my own. Thanks!1

Actually, there is direct long-distance bus from Zhangjiajie to GL and the travel duration is around 12 hours. To travel by train, you have to transfer on the way, so bus can be faster. But comparatively, it is safer to travel by train.1
