About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Citizenship

I'm a U.S. citizen, but was born in a different country that I still hold dual citizenship with. Do I need to provide the consulate with a copy of my naturalization certificate or is this overkill?

Hi, it is not necessary. You can provide your US passport if you apply in USA.
