About:Embassy of Croatia in China

Do I need to apply for an additional Croatian L type? Thanks.

Hi there,
I just received my Schengen Visa (Tourist) from the Embassy of Spain in Beijing. I'd also like to visit Split, and Zagreb in Croatia. Cheers,

I think so. Croatia is a member of EU but it's not a Schengen country. Thus, you need to apply for a separate one for Croatia.
