About:Chinese Jade

Hi is lavender a true color of jade or is it dyed to get that deep lustre?

No, it should not be a real color. It is dyed or managed to make the jade more delicate.

Lavender colored Jadeite is natural and expensive. Real jadeite that is cheap and commercial can be simulated.

Lavender Jadeite is real and often imitated. Due to cost get a GIA certificate of authenticity and a statement by them that the jadeite color and stone is not enhanced in any way. The price today is tens of thousands of dollars for a cabochon ring.
