Going To Putuoshan with a dog ?

Helle, I plan to go to Putuoshan with a dog.
I already know that some hotels are ok.
But I have no ideas of :
- Are dogs allowed in the speed boat ?
- Are they really allowed on the island ?

The policy does not allowed to take the pet on the boat, but I saw some tourists take. So it is suggested to take a small cage just in case.
The dogs can be taken on the island, so please do not worry about it.
