I've been crushing on this dude for ten years now, and I started liking him back in 2003, which was a Sheep year?

So would this year be a good year to finally confess or just even ask him on a date? By the way, I'm a girl, so would it look weird if I were to ask him on the date instead of the other way around?? Oh, he was born in the year of the Snake, by the way.
