About:China Transit Visa

Irish passport holder transiting through Guangzhou

I am travelling from Perth to Guangzhou arriving on Wednesday and departing for London on Thursday morning, my stopover is 16 hours in total but is split over 2 days, does this still fit into the 24 hour free visa entry requirements?
