if I marry a chinese girl can i get a residence permit if I hand over my citizenship

You may apply for a temporary resident permit after you come to China with family visit visa. Then you may apply for the permanent resident permit for spouse reunion after you stay in China for 5 years (at least nine months per year). However, it is very difficult for you to get it. You needn't to hand over your citizenship unless you want to become a citizen of PRC.
