Hello,

I have received my admission package for the Masters degree in China. The duration of the course is 3 years but the duration mentioned on the JW202 which I had received is only 1 year.

Would this cause any problem ?

Hi, don't worry, it is normal. Your school will just keep extending it for you. BTW, you need to apply for a residence permit within 30 days after entry, the residence permit should also be extended at the end of the year.

Thank you very much the reply.

So if I understand it correctly the duration on the JW202 will not be an issue when I want to extend the residence permit.
