About:Famen Temple Cultural Scenic Area

How long does it take from Tang paradise to Famen temple?and can we make a trip to Shaolin temple in the same day?

Hi, if driving a car, it takes 1.5-2h to reach.

If you are going to totally use the public transportation to travel, time may be a little tight to cover both the temples. Therefore, to make your Shaolin trip in the same day, you'd better rent a car to take you to Famen. Afte visiting, at Xian North, take a high-speed train to Luoyang. Then another rented car can take you to Shaolin directly. In this way, you may make it.

Anyway, to have a good visit at both destinations, it is better to spare one day for each.

Hello, Joan. I do not think you can make a trip from Famen and Shaolin Temple in one day. There is about 540km between them.
According to my experience, it is suggested to travel to these two places in two days or you can just pikc up one of the temples to have a visit.
