direction to holiday inn guangzhou shifu hotel

Question

If i want to go to holiday inn shifu guangzhou which is located at shangxia jiu lu, how do i go there from guangzhou south railway station? If I have luggage and take the subway do i have to climb the stairs or do they have escalator. Do they have taxi direct to the hotel and if there is how much does that cost?

Taking subway, you need to change from Line 2 to Line 1 at Gongyuanqian. When there are a lot of people in the station, not quite convenient. Taxi from Guangzhou South Station to the hotel takes about RMB60, the distance is about 22km.
