About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Enquiry about 3 hour layover in shanghai

I have a 3 hour layover in shanghai and I'm coming from Korea. What do I need and will I be approached after I get off the plane? I don't plan on leaving the airport just going straight to the next gate. I have heard about some trouble for Americans especially military. My final destination is san fran

It is ok for you to transit in Shanghai with your valid passport and flight ticket to San Fransisco for such a short layover.
