safe to travel to dunhuang

HelloI am  travelling alone and planning to travel to DH from Xian. IS this a safe trip to take at this time? I hear there was some violence in the north but not sure where. Is this route safe? How long would the route take?thanks!!!

This may be a little late, but I would like to tell you that it is safe enough to travel this trip alone. The violence some time ago did not happen in this area. Don't worry! If you wanna travel from Xian to reach by train, it takes around 22.5 hours. The direct plane between  takes around 2.5 hours.
