If I stay in Mongkok, Hong Kong and I want to go to Macau, do I need a visa?

I am a Malaysian. How long is the journey from Hong Kong to Macau? From Macau to Shenzhen is it near?

Nope, Malaysians can stay in HK for 90 days and Macau for 30 days at most if they hold valid passports. HK is not far from Macau. It just takes an hour by ferry.

Yes, but you need to apply in advance in your home country if you plan to visit Shenzhen as a non-Macau resident.
