Travelling roundtrip from USA to Bali, Indonesia with 24-hr layover in Shanghai each way.

Hi. I would like to leave the Pudong airport during the transit. Do I qualify for the free transit visa on the first way when we stop in Shanghai before flying to Bali? What about for the return flight from Bali, when we stop in Shanghai again and then returning back to USA?

Hi, do you hold US Passport? If so, you are qualified for 72h free-visa policy for both journeys.
