About:China City Guide

I will be traveling in June with my wife and child from Hong Kong to Foshan.

I have been advised to stay at Nathan Road and been advised that the most convenient way to travel to Foshan is by ferry. Please advise on both these matters and make suggestions for hotel.

How far from airport is Nathan road? I would also like to find out the best way to travel from airport to hotel? My flight arrived @11pm

Thank you & god bless

There are many hotels along Nathan Road, such as Gold City Hotel and Junlong Hotel. What's your budget anyway?

As for the transportation, I don't think ferry is most convenient. Actually, you can take the direct cross-border coach to reach. You can catch the coach near Mongkok, Prince Edward, Jordan or Kowloon Stations.

Generally, it is around 33km between the airpoer to Nathan Road. Airport shuttle bus no. N21 can take you to Kimberley Road, Nathan Road conveniently that late.

Dear Lisa

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I am looking for a reasonable 5 STAR hotel.
Is Nathan Road or the Harbour better to stay. I was advised to stay at the Mira

Transport : From airport to hotel - will use shuttle - do you know what time is the shuttle at night ?

HONG KONG to Foshan Transport
- how long does the coach take ?
- Ferry is about 3 hours from my understading
- I have read you can also take a train but that leaves at 11 am
- I will be staying at the Hotel Fortuna in Foshan - so consideration need to be made when choosing transport - which will be easier to access

Thanks

Personally speaking, Nathan Road is more recommended. The surroundings and transportation nearby shall be more convenient.

About the airport shuttle buses, they have daytime ones and overnight ones. So you can say they operate all around a day.

As for HK to Foshan:
It takes around 4h by coach.
