Do I need to take a transit G?

Hi I am traveling to Busan via Shanghai (PVG). While going and returning I will be at the airport for a minimum 3 hours. I donot have any plan to go out of the airport. Do I still need to take a transit G?

It is not required if you remain in the airport during stopover.

Dear Ravi, please keep me updated of your experience (stop over without visa) when you have a stopover at Shanghai on your way to Busan and back. I have the same issue. I will travel in two weeks time. If your travel is ahead of mine, I would appreciate if you can share your experience here. Thank you.
