About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Inviting a relative to China, what are the requirements?

Am Peter, Kenyan living and studying in China and want to invite my fiance to visit me for six months. Where should i sent the invitation letter plus all the documents required? Am afraid i cannot manage to go to Beijing office to deliver the invitation letter. What documents should i attach.

Usually, a copy of the invitation letter is ok. You can fax it to her. Beside the invitation letter, she will also have to provide a hard copy of the first page of the passport of the inviter and a hard copy of the legal residence permit in China.

For the requirements on the invitation letter, it should contain full name, gender, date of birth, purpose of visit, date of arriving and leaving China, place of visit, relations between the applicant and the inviter, financial support during stay in China) and the inviter (i.e. name, contact number, address and signature).
