About:China Train

Where can I purchase a ticket online and then pick it up at the station?

Lucy (replying to Peter, below) said it is possible to buy a ticket online, and then pick it up at the station. Does anyone know the exact web site where I can do this? - every site I have looked at says they must deliver the ticket to a hotel. But will not have any hotel, I am arriving at Shanghai Airport. - any help is welcome!

on this very site travelchinaguide, at the top of the page there is a tool bar, click Trains"!

You can do the reservation on the website of the TravelChinaGuide and tell them that you can pick the tickets up at the train station by your own. That is ok.
