About:China Visa Application in USA

Type of Visa for visiting Fiance' family

I am a US citizen and live in Saudi Arabia. I will be travelling to China with her to meet her family and before end of this year intend to live there in Shenyang. Do I apply for tourist L, or visiting friends? Should I apply for multiple entry for 12 or 24 months?

You need an invitation letter from her family for visit L application. If you are not married, it is very difficult to get one with 12 or 24 months as the duration.

Thanks Zack. My fiance' is with me and she will assist with the letter. I will just get longest L type allowed for now and work on the extended one later. Thanks again for the input.
