About:Guangzhou Railway Station

From what I gather, I can take a train from Shanghai South, to Guangzhou North, However, I need to get to GZ South, to connect with a train to get to XinHui (jiangmen).

Is it hard to get from GZ North to South rail terminals? How far is it?, (I'll have full luggage with me).
Then, I'd like to catch the bullet train to XinHui (Jiangmen).
What problems might I encounter?
Thanks,

As far as I know, there is no trains from Shanghai South Railway Station to CZ North. I think you may mean the railway station at Yuexiu District.
If so, it is easy for you to travel from that station to reach the South Railway Station. The local subway line 2 can take you to reach directly.
No problem will be on your encounter.
