About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne
Hi,Iam a permanent in Australia and holding a SRI LANKAN passport do I need a visa to go to Hong Kong and what will be the fee

Yes, you need to apply in advance through the embassy/consulate. The fee is A$50.
