The association between the movie Kungfu Panda and the 5 elements? Are there any? If so, what is it?

I was talking to a friend and he mentioned something about the Furious five. Tigress, snake, mantis, crane and monkey having some relationship with the 5 elements? So i taught i'd look it up and since this site has a Q&A function, i'd like to ask any experts on there take of this? Which animal will fall under which element and based on the movie as well? How can we classify them? Thanks

As I know, the film was made according to Chinese Five Element Boxing, which has two foundations.

One is the shapes and spirits of the five animals: dragon, tiger, snake, leopard and crane.
The other is what you mentioned: jin (metal), mu (wood), shui (water), huo (fire), tu (earth).

From this aspect, the Kung Fu Panda has no direct relation with the elements, but the Kung Fu Style.
