About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Time to process L visa

Can anyone tell me what is the fastest method of getting the L following expiry of Z. I am told through HK it can be done in 2 days, and Shanghai 5 working days.Does this mean for example drop off is 28 th June in both places (expiry is 30th June),with pick up in HK 30th June and in Shanghai the 3rd July? It seems like the expiry date of the Z plays an important role here but given the tight window we have with our travel arrangements we want get it right?Many thanks,Jan McKeogh

Hi, regular processing takes 5 days, you can try to use express service if necessary at Shanghai PSB. In my opinion, it is not necessary to do this in HK. HK is outside of mailand, the application there is not an extension actually, but an application for a new visa. I don't think it saves money or time.
