About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Informing Airlines

I have 74 hours in Beijing, so I will be required to get a visa. I am unsure of how I am supposed to inform the airlines that I am applying for it. On another note: Is there anyway I could get around not having to buy it and using the transit free if I just wait a couple hours in the airport before I leave (or come back early)?

Hi, if your stopover is longer than 72 hours, you need to apply for a transit G visa from CVASC in Canada before leaving. Otherwise, you may be refused to board the plane to Beijing without it or the confirmed ticket for leaving within 72 hours.
