At the Sun Square (Hongtaiyang Square) at the entrance of Lijiang Ancient Town, you can easily catch the local bus no. 7, which can take you to the mountain directly. Upon your arrival, you can walk to the scenic area acording to the landmarks.

There is no public bus anymore to jade dragon snow mountain. If you go to mao square. You will see a number of small blue minivans all with the no. 7 on signboards at this time the going rate is 15rmb per person for a full load (5-7) people. So if you are short the number try to find other groups bargaining with the drivers.
