Actually, it is not a must to show your ID or passport to buy a bus ticket in China. Don't worry! Just go to the local Fanghu Bus Station or Jimei Bus Station to get a ticket for Ningbo.

The best way is to take a bus at XM Hubinnan Bus Station or Xinglin Bus Station to Zhuhai first. You will reach Gongbei, Zhuhai. Then cross Gongbei immigration border to Macau easily.
You don't need the passport to buy the bus ticket to Zhuhai. But when you cross the immigration border, it may be needed.
