western typeother good food in shanghai

we are staying at w.nanjing road hotel and would like to know if there are any good restaurants or western type of foods in that area which is reasonable and safe as there is a problem with bird flu and are these restaurants have english menu? Thanks!

As far as I know, there are many western types food around that area. Which kind of cuisine do you prefer?La Med at No. 192, Jing'an Villa, 1025 Lane and Lingo Bistrot at Room 109, Floor One, No.338, Xiansile Square on West Nanjing Road are a French restaurants. Le MARAIS at 319A, Floor 3, Meilongzhen Square, No. 1038 West Nanjing Street is a another western type restaurant.
