There are direct trains between the two places and it takes you around 16 to 20 hours. Once you get on the train, it is hard for you get off the train to make a short visit around.
If you plan take the trains, you can refer to https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ to find the timetable and even book on it.
Or you can take the direct buses from Shiyan Central Bus Station or Gaosu Bus Station to take buses to reach Wuhan and then go to Wuhan airport to take a flight to reach Beijing. The plane takes around two hours and a half on the joruney.
Between Shiyan and Beijing, there are several provinces and cities, so it is hard to tell you the attraction. It is suggested to travel in Beijing directly.
