anyone know the approximate cost of a taxi from tsetang to Lhasa?

Free people use taxi to reach there from Tsetang, because there is about 160km and the taxi fare is high.
Actually, the buses between the two places are frequent. You can go to Tsetang Bus Station to take direct buses for your destination directly and the bus fare is around 30 to 40RMB and the whole journey takes you about two hours and a half to three hours.
