About:China City Guide

We are planning to visit Hongkong- Macau-Beijing-Shanghai-great wall and other cities in China. Is it possible to go in these places by taking the train?

Hi, to travel in China by train is very convenient, but as for your case, the trains cannot be used for all the trips. As for the transportation for these routes, here is my suggestion:
Hong Kong - Macau: The ferry between can be the best choice. You can take the direct ferry at HK-Macau Ferry Terminal or China Ferry Terminal, HK to Macau.

Beijing - Shanghai: It is most suggested to take the high-speed train between to travel this journey. The travel duration is only around 5h.

And as for the transpport between Beijjng and Hk, direct plane is most suggested.

You also mentioned the Great Wall, which has many sections among which the most well-known ones are Badaling and Mutianyu. Both of them can be easily reached from Beijing. The detailed transport is suggested to refer to the link:
