where do i apply for a chinese visa?

Question

I am the holder of a Dutch/Netherlands Passport but I reside in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.  I am planning to attend a Business Conference in Beijing and expect to be there for about a week from 26 May 2013 to 01 June 2013 inclusive dates. Can my application be processed in Barbados?

I think you need to apply from the Chinese embassy in the UK or go back to your country to apply for it. And you may try to apply for it from HK. It is said that many foreigners apply for theirs successfully in HK.
