About:China Visa Application in USA

born in Hong Kong and do not have old passport

Born in Hong Kong and do not have any documents from Hong Kong. Left Hong Kong in December of 1974 and am now a US citizen. I have a US passport and that is all. Will this be a problem in applying for a visa to visit China? Thank You!

According to the Chinese embassy in USA, those who were born in China (including HK, Macau and Taiwan) should submit their original Chinese passport and a photocopy of the passport's information/photo page, and extension page. If they were granted with Chinese visa before, and apply with their new passports, a copy of their old passport informtion page with previous visa is needed too.
