You need to apply for a F type one. The papers you need to provide:
1. your passport with blank pages and at least valid for six months before it expires.
2. a completed application form affixed with a recent passport size photo
3. An "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit" or "Confirmation Letter of Invitation"
4. sometimes, you might be required to provide a copy of hotel reservation, return air ticket and financial proof.
