About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check
Am I allowed to take a Sony psp and Nintendo DS with me into China?
Are they legal or will they be confiscated at customs?

No, they will not be confiscated, but you have to declare. If you take the new ones, you may need to pay tax for them.
