About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Chinese Visa invitation

Does my invitation letter have to be from someone who is currently in China? His home is there, but right now he is a student at the university I am attending.

If anyone has any other visa advice, that would be great!

May I know what if your purpose of visit? if for tourism, invitation letter is not mandatory if you can provide round-trip ticket and hotel bookings.

Generally, the inviter should be physically in China.
