Yes, you need to apply for a Chinese visa in advance. Just visit the embassy during their working hours: 9:45 am and 11: 00 am, Monday to Friday. For business purpose, Invitation Letter issued by the authorized government departments/companies/units in China, or formal Invitation Letter issued by renowned and creditable companies/units in China is required. You should also provide a Visa recommendation letter from your employing company. Besides, bank statements, round-trip air tickets booking may also be required.
